*~It Took Me a Week~*
Hey Guys, long time no write! Errr, I could see you guy's pitchforks and fire already from a lack of updates...I left y'all hanging for a whole week! I'm sorry, I've been SO unbelievably busy, and I'm telling the total truth. So yes, go ahead and put those pointy pitchforks down :) thanks!
So the jazz band and a few selected 8th and 7th graders from regular symphonic are going to preform in the Veterans Day concert on Friday. Alinna and mostly all the jazz band (which is composed of 8th graders my friends)wanted me to play with them in the concert, I guess Ms. G wanted to give me a try so today this morning during 3rd we were trying to play a part in our main song for the Veterans; Salute to America's Finest. There is this part in cut time (which is 4/4 time only divided by two 2/4 and is faster) and we have triplet notes (one lolli two lolli.etc) and only the clarinets and the flutes have that, the flutes played it off so it was the clarinet's turn.
Since I'm 1st chair, Ms. G told me to go fist. I knew the part, but it's scary playing infront of EVERYONE so I did my best and ended up playing the line (trills and all) perfectly! So, Ms. G was really proud of me, and all the band clapped. Next was Leslie, she's a 7th grader, she came out and said she didn't know it at all. Next was Xochil, and 8th grader, she said SHE didn't know it either, but Ms. G said to try...and well she blew it. Chelsea and Krystal didn't even get past the first three notes. Alinna's turn came, and I KNEW positivly KNEW that she knew it flawlessly, but I guess I was wrong, she didn't know it and Ms. G was outraged. She was yelling that they were the ones that wanted me to play with them and that I was the only one who knew it. She basically said that if she could she would only take me to the concert, that is IF she could and I know she wanted to. So I was happy, very, very happy. Eldi even said I played very pretty! So did my new crush, a drummer named Danny Espinoza; which I've known FOREVER!
So anyway, the football game was the most AWESOME game in the world! Patriots beat the Eagles 32 to 2! We whupped them good, and got the trophy back! There were awesome interceptions and everything, it was amazing! I even saw all the old 8th graders...well new 9th graders from last year. Kristien was a Patriot Star, which I'm going to try out for in highschool next year. I miss everyone from last year, we did soooo much stuff in symphonic band last year! Man, we rocked the judges in contest and everything! Now, symphonic is 'blah' with the 7th graders. We hardly play any COOL music! But it's no use complaining, it's not my fault if they suck.
Well, it's legally 10:10, which without the clocks forward and hour it would be 11. You know, this stupid time change is supposed to be good, but it's not helping at all for me. I guess I'm just not used to it or something... Well anyway, seya l8ter, I promise to update more... Oh and me and Adam are like great friends now, thanks Sammy on the 'Stay friends' advice you gave me once upon a time ago! :)!!!
