Freshmen Hating
Well, today was the first highschool bandcamp, and it was a bad experience for me.
The directors taught us how to stand and stuff, it hurt. We have to be at a frontwards lean, with our shoulders back and arms up into some triangle...it's hard to explain, but the lean doesn't hurt as much as the arm thing.
And it seems like all the upperclassmen don't like the freshmen very much. When it was time to play, we broke up into sections (woodwinds and brass) and all this girl who was older than me was saying was "URGH you guys are so out of tune! You know what, don't even play!"
HELLO, you were a freshmen too! It made me not even want to come the rest of the 4 days. Well at least Josh, Emily, Daniel and Amanda were nice to me. Well, more Amanda because I spent the whole playing thing w/ her 'cause she is in the section. She said that all freshmen start off with the lower parts, same with some sophmores. I hate it, I guess I'm just used to being 1st all the time in jr. high, being the top and now in highschool I'm on the way bottom.
Well, I'll be on top soon enough, all I need to worry about is learning the attention and the fight song... oh and memorizing the show songs, but we'll get to that soon.
